Printmaking class at Madison College

An avid printmaker in College, I love printing anything! But being a full-time Creative Director in the Outdoor Advertising business leaves little time for me to dedicate to my craft. I was encouraged by a friend to take a class to force me into printing again and it worked!  These 2 pieces are the outcome of the class and it has definitely given me the bug to print again. The first piece entitled, “Sunset From Above” was inspired by the beautiful sunsets you can take in when up in a plane. Although the window seat can get me trapped next to some unsavory characters, it also can mesmerize me as I get a view of the world from above. The second piece entitled, “Icon Storyline” is my first etching ever! I love etching! It’s an intricate and lovely way to combine drawing and printing. This “storyline” tells the tale of my courtship with my husband.
